Hip Hop Architecture on MLK Day
Join young people across Oregon for the Hip Hop Architecture MLK Day for a special virtual 1-day design event. All youth will receive a free Hip Hop Architecture bag with materials and SWAG items prior to the workshop. Youth will explore the world of architecture through the lens of hip hop culture and work with professionals in the field to build a “frozen music” city model based on hip hop lyrics. Participants will be asked to continue working on their models after the event to submit pictures of their work and a chance to win prizes!
Registration is required. Deadline to register is 1/4/22 @ 3pm. This event is open to all Eurekans – middle and high school aged youth of color and allies. There is no typical student for the Hip Hop Architecture program. You will receive a confirmation email with your event details and Zoom link from the Architecture Foundation of Oregon (not Girls Inc. – so watch out for that!). Spots are limited, so register early!
